Margarett Conklin Ellison, MD, MHA, FACS, FACOG
Gynecologic Oncologist/Robotic Surgeon
Dr. Ellison earned her medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Georgia. She completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at University of Alabama in Birmingham, Alabama and her fellowship in gynecologic oncology at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. She is board certified in gynecologic oncology and general obstetrics and gynecology.
Prior to joining Piedmont, Dr. Ellison practiced at Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles, California. She also served in the United States Army as assistant chief of the Division of Gynecologic Oncology. She has a master in health care administration from the University of Phoenix and completed a year toward a doctorate in law from University of Concord School of Law. Dr. Ellison is actively involved in research and has written many publications. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family of 4 boys, snowboarding, cycling, running, training and doing triathlons.
Dr. Ellison is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons as well as a member of the American Medical Association, the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, the Society of Robotic Surgery, the Minimally Invasive Robotic Association and the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists, where she sits on the Clinical Practice Committee. Dr. Ellison is accepting new patients and welcomes most major insurance plans.
